San Angelo NAACP Buffalo Soldiers Memorial Fund
A Special Project sponsored by the San Angelo NAACP Unit 6219 to create a memorial to promote recognition and acknowledge contributions made by African American soldiers, known as Buffalo Soldiers, in the formative years of San Angelo and the United States Army.
The construction on this project is mostly complete with final touches scheduled in early 2024.
Donations to have a new tree or bench named in honor or memory of someone is still available for a $1,000 donation can be made on-line by clicking here.
